“What you think, you will do,” is a similar take on a mantra said by Buddha.

Healthy living starts in your mind. Are you showing up as a friend or foe? Mindset work can make a huge difference for people with ADHD and those in the struggles of life. Knowing your super traits and shoring up your struggles is brain work. ADHDers with racing brains will believe they can’t do mindfulness practice.

But what if you could?

Did you know mindfulness can enter into your way of living in many ways? It goes beyond a butt pillow and cross-legged silence.

What if you washed dishes tonight, noticing the soap’s slipperiness and the warmth of the water on your skin with the weight of the plates between your hands. That is mindfulness. If you are lucky enough to have someone else do the dishes, you could try feeling the water in the shower as you go from dry to wet or the bristles of your toothbrush on your teeth? These are daily activities we nearly always practice daily but rarely truly take in how it feels. Maybe you are like me, and you rush through daily tasks as fast as you can so you can get to the next.

Let’s choose to live life with intention. Challenge yourself to slow down. Just for a minute. What can you notice that you miss on a regular basis?

There is so much we skim over in life. In choosing to live mindfully what will you now notice that will bring greater joy, peace and serenity in your day?

What will you choose to experience mindfully today? What you think is what you take in. Surround yourself mindfully.
