Our minds are constantly weighing in and making choices. It’s said that the human mind has 6,000 thoughts a day. My clients with neurodifferences laugh when I say this. One responded, “I have that many before you have breakfast.” We seek to overcome barriers and find solutions. Our brains are working even when we are unaware. People with ADHD are often working with what they describe as a brain on fire. Controlling thought and using processing to get what we want is a sharpened skill. Control comes with awareness and practice.

What mindset are you holding when you butt up against your challenges? Do you react or do you respond? In life coaching, a Coach is curious and listens with focus to identify what is important to their client. What if you were to try this same coaching skill on yourself? What if you could become your own powerful coach and less of your own worst enemy? Get curious when you are stuck.

❓ What do you want in your life, relationships, career, or job?
❓ What do you want or need to feel more energized?
❓ What is holding you back from getting what you want?

Asking questions of yourself may offer you the answers you need to take the next step in having the life you want. Take lemons and make lemonade. The sugar sauce process in making your own lemonade is asking questions and stirring- and stirring. You can and you make lemonade from lemons because today you have the choice to take action.

Sometimes we need a hand when we are feeling stuck. Maybe you have tried self-help books. Maybe you have tried working with a counselor or tried different medications. Maybe you try to do all the right stuff; eating healthy, exercising, sleeping, carving out recharge time and still, you are lengths away from getting what you want. “Trying” is the keyword. Keep trying. If you have not explored working with a Life Coach, give it a try. Having a powerful partner invested in you can be your game changer.
