The New Year brings renewed energy or for some it can highlight the old story, giving way to the inner voice saying, “we’ll see how long this lasts this time!” You may have people saying this jokingly, but not.
 
Are you letting self-doubt creep in, setting yourself up to accept less than? Self-trust can be tricky and especially when you have ADHD.
 
What strategies are your needing? ADHD Life coaching is a powerful option to open the doors or punch holes in your walls so you can move from a surviving state to thriving. ADHD or not life coaching can move you forward.
 
Are you letting the day happen to you or are you making your day happen?
 
When you let the day happen to you, especially with ADHD, your brain defaults to survival mode—seeking immediate relief over long-term reward. The prefrontal cortex, which handles planning and prioritizing, takes a backseat, while the emotional brain (limbic system) ramps up stress, overwhelm, or shutdown. Dopamine levels drop without meaningful stimulation or direction, leaving you more prone to impulsive behaviors, distractions, or paralysis. In contrast, when you make the day happen, you activate executive function pathways—boosting dopamine, creating a sense of progress, and calming the nervous system. This intentional action helps your brain shift from reactive to proactive, which builds both resilience and self-trust over time.
